Terms of Service — UnblockPiP

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of UnblockPiP ("the App"), a Safari Web Extension and iOS application developed by Valeriya Pekar ("we", "us", "our"). By installing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. The Service

UnblockPiP is a utility that adds a floating "Detach" button to videos in Safari, allowing you to start Picture in Picture on sites that disable native PiP, plus an in-app player for URLs shared from other apps. Free use is limited to 3 Picture in Picture launches per calendar day. Unlimited use requires an active subscription.

2. Subscriptions

2.1 Product

The App offers a single auto-renewing subscription, "UnblockPiP Yearly Pro" (product identifier yearly_subscription).

2.2 Free Trial

New subscribers are offered a 3-day free trial. The trial begins the moment you confirm the purchase. You may cancel at any time during the trial period at no charge. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription and your Apple ID will be charged the then-current price.

2.3 Price and Billing

The subscription price is $4.99 USD per year or the equivalent in your local currency as listed by the App Store at the time of purchase. Prices are subject to change; any price change will take effect at the start of the next renewal period after notice has been given.

2.4 Auto-Renewal

Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each subscription period unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Renewal will be charged to your Apple ID within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. The cost of renewal will match the price published at that time in the App Store, exclusive of any promotional pricing.

2.5 Managing and Canceling

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time:

  1. Open the iOS Settings app.
  2. Tap your Apple ID at the top.
  3. Tap Subscriptions.
  4. Select UnblockPiP and choose Cancel Subscription.

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period; you will retain access to subscriber features until then. Uninstalling the App does not cancel your subscription.

2.6 Refunds

All payments are processed by Apple. Refunds are handled at Apple's sole discretion through Apple Support at reportaproblem.apple.com. We are unable to issue refunds directly.

2.7 Restoring Purchases

If you re-install the App or use it on another device signed into the same Apple ID, tap Restore on the paywall to recover your active subscription at no additional charge.

3. License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, in accordance with the Apple Media Services Terms and any usage rules in the App Store Terms of Service.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the App, except as permitted by applicable law.
  • Use the App to violate the terms of service of any third-party website or to download copyrighted content in a way the rights-holder has not authorized.
  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the App.

The App is a viewing utility. It does not download, capture, or rebroadcast video content from third-party services. You remain solely responsible for complying with the terms of service of any website you visit.

5. Third-Party Content

The App allows playback of video from third-party websites in Safari and in the in-app player. We do not control, endorse, or assume responsibility for the content, availability, or accuracy of any third-party site. Your interaction with third-party content is at your own risk and governed by the third party's own terms.

6. Updates

We may update the App from time to time. Updates may add, change, or remove features at our discretion. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated App and these Terms.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every website or device.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total cumulative liability arising from or related to the App will not exceed the amount you have paid us for the App in the twelve months preceding the claim. In no event will we be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you breach these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. Sections 4, 7, 8, and 10 survive termination.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of your country of residence as identified by your Apple ID, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The revised Terms take effect when posted at this URL. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top. Your continued use of the App after a revision means you accept the new Terms.
